ChatGPT's GPT-4o Mini Gets Major Upgrades: Top 4 New Features

OpenAI has significantly enhanced ChatGPT’s GPT-4o mini model, bringing it closer in functionality to its larger sibling, GPT-4o. Here are four of the biggest upgrades:

  1. Image Generation: The mini model now supports DALL-E 3, generating images from text, making visual tasks faster without compromising output quality.

  2. Web Browsing: GPT-4o mini can now access the internet, providing up-to-date information and speeding up research tasks.

  3. File Uploads: Users can now upload documents and images for analysis, making the mini model more versatile in handling visual data.

  4. Memory: The model can remember past conversations, personalizing future interactions and offering seamless follow-ups, similar to full-sized GPT-4o.

These updates make the GPT-4o mini faster, more capable, and more adaptable, improving its overall utility for users.

These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2024

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Huawei Targets Nvidia's China Market with Ascend 910C GPU Launch

Huawei has begun sampling its new Ascend 910C GPU to Chinese customers, according to a report by the South China Morning Post. Positioned to challenge Nvidia’s dominance in the AI hardware market, the Ascend 910C is an upgrade to the 910B model and could outperform Nvidia's upcoming Blackwell-based B20 GPU, as per SemiAnalysis predictions. US export restrictions on Nvidia’s top GPUs have opened the door for Huawei to gain traction in China's AI and cloud computing markets.

Despite Nvidia’s continued presence in China with its H20 GPU, Huawei hopes to leverage the 910C to integrate Chinese companies into its broader hardware-software ecosystem. However, Huawei will face challenges from Nvidia's CUDA ecosystem, which has proven difficult for competitors like AMD and Intel to overcome. The 910C is expected to launch in October, with an estimated $2 billion in revenue for Huawei in its first quarter, positioning it as a key competitor in China’s AI sector.
